Summer.

Keegan has been lovin' him some summer time lately! The weather has been great ( I mean aside from the crazy storms, hail that shattered our basketball hoop, and horrible tornadoes too close for comfort) and he is enjoying every second!

New obsession with basketball...we practice dribbling on a daily basis

Painting with sidewalk paint...which inevitably gets walked through on the way in the house...excuse the yellow spots on the carpet now

Keegan talked Mommy into a pool...ok so it wasn't that hard considering swollen ankles (and everything else for that matter) are in the very near future!

Keegan and Mommy at 34 weeks with Cooper on our way to his big brother class! He absolutely loved it! He got to learn how to properly hold a baby (wash hands, scoot back in chair, support head, etc), he made a "toy tester"--decorated a toilet paper roll and anything that fits through the tube is too small for baby, watched a video, answered LOTS of questions (made mommy already proud picturing him in kindergarten!), and got to tour the mommy/baby floor of hospital and see where everything happens.

Saturday Mommy and Keegan hit the pool for the first time this summer....Keegan made a new friend (not pictured, but this is where they spent 2 hours), and thanks to peer pressure ran through the water spouts, stuck his head in them, and did whatever she did. All the while Mommy sunbathed...just the front of her body. Oops.

Reapplying sunscreen on a break

Keegan got to participate in the 2nd half of Mommy and Daddy's date night! After dinner with some friends Keegan got to head down to an outdoor concert where they had face painting!

Hanging with Landon (his parents were Mommy and Daddy's date night buds!)

After the concert we all decided we needed ice cream

Sunday Mommy got lots done in the nursery...and Keegan decided to test out the Boppy!

And that's a wrap! Keegan is heading to Kansas City this weekend to celebrate Aunt Megan's graduate with her Master's--go Aunt Megan!! Mommy has vowed to make the most of the rest of the summer and do as many fun things with Keegan as possible before Cooper arrives...this means lots of pictures of pool time, park time, zoo time, and whatever else Keegan says he wants to do!!

Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day to all those fantastic fathers out there! In case you don't know who you are....Keegan would like to especially recognize his own Daddy, Grandpa Bill, and GG! He is a lucky dude to have all you guys in his life and he wishes he could see his grandpas more often!

On that note...Keegan did spend the last 2 weekends with grandparents--last weekend in Iowa and this weekend in Kansas. He had a great time both places, however Mommy only has proof from Iowa because she didn't get to go to see Nana and GG. Rest assured he had a wonderful time and has told Mommy all about his adventures, including the River Festival where he made all kinds of crafts...that are now all over Mommy's freshly vacuumed carpet. Ahem. Anyway.

Keegan loves loves loves hanging with Jace and Lexa. He hadn't seen them since his birthday in March  (and he was sick that weekend so not much quality time was had) and he counted down the days starting the weekend before!

Park time with cousins! Jace was off playing basketball the whole time

Helping Grandma make strawberry pretzel salad....

Patting down the pretzel crust..immediately after Lexa picked her nose

Lunch time!

BBQ at the plantation....started out rainy so we had to eat inside...kid's table!

Roasting marshmallows...Keegan outta be a pro at that by now

Interesting picture...this little girl was paid $60 to eat a Cicada (spelled right?)...anyway...she did it...she started a few times but it was tickling her tongue...eventually she chewed and chewed and chewed.....and earned $60

Loving spending time with tons of cousins/2nd cousins

Picking mulberries off the neighbor's tree that spills into Grandma and Grandpa's yard

Mommy bribed them to help clean off the patio..Grandma has a few things to learn about how to use grandkids properly

Stopped back at the plantation so Kona and Chuck could have a puppy play date...and meanwhile the clippers came out and Mommy buzzed Keegan's hair!

Love that they love each other so much!

Keegan got to go watch Daddy dominate play sand volleyball this week

Headed out to go play in the sprinkler!

Cupcakes for Father's Day! After the amazing BBQ ribs Mommy grilled!

Keegan would also like to give a belated shout out to Grandpa Bill and say Happy Birthday last weekend! In other news...time is winding down before Cooper joins us! Luckily there isn't a lot of preparation to do since we have all Keegan's things from when he was a baby. Keegan is soooo excited and asks several times a day when Cooper will be here. Mommy can only assume he won't be quite as excited when the real deal hits. Tune in soon for more summer fun!

Visitors Galore!

Keegan just finished up 3 weekends in a row of visitors at his house! Needless to say he loves having people here and cried all 3 times when he realized they had left for good. First Grandpa Bill came to help get the ball rolling on Cooper's room. He successfully turned a purple and silver textured (AWFUL) room into a perfect blue one! Next Nana and GG came to add a little extra, per Mommy, and when they left an adorable orange stripe went around the room! Last but not least Great Aunt Rita came this past weekend and used her powers on Daddy to get the crib and chair put together....and now we have a nursery! Not complete but looking super cute!  Keegan also got to do a ton of fun stuff in the past few weeks. One of the perks of Mommy being lazy on the blog means this one has about 1000 pictures! Enjoy!

30 Weeks pregnant with Cooper! Mommy had a girls pamper day, complete with Starbucks during pedicures and Happy Hour!

Keegan is loving helping Mommy with flowers and plants...he picked some lilacs to make the kitchen smell good!

Park Time!

What a day of shopping with Mommy will do to you....

Favorite activity...having a fire and roasting marshmallows!

Pushing cousin Kynnedy in the swing

                                                   Crazy Glasses!!

Helping Daddy put the crib together

Picking out plants! And going for a ride at the same time

31 Weeks pregnant with Cooper...getting closer! (and bigger!)

Took a trip to the Zoo while Great Aunt Rita was here

Checked out the Wildlife Safari for the first time--very cool and fun for something different to do!

Love this....about passed out on Daddy's shoulders...we did a lot of walking/hiking for little 3 year ol legs!

And finally--getting closer to a finished nursery!

Mommy has made a vow to not be so lazy and get to blogging more often. Poor Cooper is probably going to be lucky to ever even get a picture taken, much less make a blog! Speaking of Cooper....Mommy is now just about 32 weeks along with him and things seem to be going great! He is being a stubborn little thing and flipping back and forth between transverse and breech but we have decided not to worry just yet. He routinely sticks legs nad feet out of Mommy's belly, especially it seems while at work and trying to adjust patients! Hard to believe we have only 8 weeks (or less) before we meet the little guy. Mommy is so excited to get to hold him--in the past it was a huge worry about how we could possibly love another one as much as Keegan...and it seems it is already true that we do!
