Master.

Keegan is the master at making Mommy & Daddy smile! He continues to be such a fun, loving, care free baby toddler boy! Time is flying these days and he is 16 1/2 months!! He adds words daily, however his favorites are "mommy mommy mommy mommy". Repeat. Sigh. Mommy remembers wishing for this.

Keegan hasn't done anything too exciting lately. Eat, sleep, play, and so on. He is becoming quite the little fish in the pool and his all time favorite activity is climbing. If anyone out there has a suggestion for an indoor climbing toy we are on the hunt!

Thanks for checking in!  There isn't a lot coming up besides anxiously waiting for his new cousin to be born sometime in August...we can't wait to meet her!

Weekend Fun. And Heat.

Keegan spent the weekend just hanging out with Mommy & Daddy. What could be better?! It was 105 degrees (literally, a new record for Omaha on Sunday) so some time was spent in the pool. We also attempted a zoo trip for the inside exhibits but just traveling between them was too much to handle.

In other news, Keegan's hair is out of control. Mommy recently polled the facebook population on buzzing it versus keeping it crazy and it was a unanimous "crazy hair!". Final decision has not yet been made.

Other factoids: Keegan's new thing is to stuff small toys/puzzle pieces/cars down his shirts and hoarding them all day. Both mommy and Miss Judy (day care) find it strange. He also now throws his blanket over his face/head and runs wild. 99% of the time this ends in slamming into a wall. At which time he recovers his head and goes again.

Technology.

Mommy sucks at technology. Period. Things don't work right, they are always screwed up, and are always dead. Keegan took a trip back to southeast Iowa over the weekend and of course Mommy's camera died before too many pictures were taken.

    Yeah, Mommy loves me..she gave me berries mixed with whipped cream!!

Grandma took me down to see the trains by the river!!! There was a lot of mouth dropping wide open and "ooooohs and aaaahs" and pointing!

Camera is charged and Mommy is ready to start snapping pictures! Keegan is hopefully meeting his cousins at the zoo on Saturday so fun will be had and pictures will be taken! Stay tuned..

Happy Birthday (Great) Aunt Rita!

Keegan would like to give a big shout out to his Great Aunt Rita and tell her Happy Birthday!! He hasn't learned to count as high as her age...maybe next year!

In other news...Keegan has been up to plain old fun lately. See pictures below.


Keegan went to a BBQ with Mommy & Daddy...just so we are clear--this was NOT Keegan's plate..he had already finished his hamburger..and hot dog...and discovered some other kid's plate...and the rest was history

Keegan went and visited Aunt Megan and Uncle Ethen in KC this weekend...as always he had a great time! He is anxiously awaiting his new cousin arrive in 6 weeks or so!

Mommy & Me Weekend

Daddy ditched Keegan and mommy for the weekend so we paired up and did  some serious hanging out. The fun included the farmer's market, the splash park, the swimming pool, and of course shopping. Keegan has been timid of the water thus far, however became quite the little fish in the pool over the weekend. The splash park...well maybe next weekend.

There are no actual pictures of Keegan swimming because well...mommy realized that would involve her getting out of the pool (leaving Keegan in the pool..alone) to get the camera and decided that was an all around bad idea. Maybe next time.

In other news from the weekend..Keegan still isn't ready to sit through Church. 8 minutes was how long we lasted this morning. After 8 minutes of "shhhh"ing we headed to the cry room where Keegan proceeded to climb a chair and flip it over. Exit Mommy & Keegan from Church. Grand total-12 minutes. Maybe in a few months.
