Happy Birthday, America! (And Great Aunt Rita)

Keegan just finished up a crazy, busy, awesome 4th of July. This was his 3rd one, but the first that he really got to enjoy the festivities. He loved seeing fireworks, hanging with friends, swimming, and eating summertime food! We have a ton of pictures so enjoy!

Keegan went with Mommy & Daddy to one of their friends' houses for some good old fashioned yard games, adult and child beverages, and grilled hot dogs. He met some new friends and had such a fun time!

Testing out an old favorite game--bags!

Mommy's friend, Danica, was awesome enough to buy bubbles for the kiddos..and not just any bubbles..but colored bubbles!

Keegan spent some time searching for rocks with Daddy to throw in the pool

And really...do you know another 2 year old this bad a**??

After the all day fun there, we headed to a hotel where Keegan's besties were staying the night..the next day the packed up and moved to Kansas City :( Sad day, but one last hoorah was fun! Papa John's pizza was eaten and followed with swimming.

Enjoying pizza with Charity

Keegan & Faith spent much of the time running the halls, trying to get in the elevator, and fighting over who got to push the buttons

Eating with his friends....he (and mommy & daddy) sure will miss these guys!!

Keegan had to leave the hotel at a decent time (8pm, and no nap, we couldn't believe he was still functioning!) to go home and meet his cousins, Jace & Lexa, and Aunt Cari and Uncle Doug. They were passing through on their way to Denver but he got to play with them and see some fireworks.

He was SOOO tired after such a long day he nearly fell asleep waiting for them!

When the actual weekend finally arrived, Keegan packed up and headed to Kansas for a family wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and awesome to see lots of family

Keegan eats, sleeps, and breathes playing outside

Proving he has earned his nick name "monkey man"

"I made it, I made it!!!"

Keegan was thrilled he got to see his Aunt Megan at the wedding--he loves her!

Helping Nana water  flowers...which he now talks about every time he sees a flower pot

                                                   Car rides!

Seriously, the kid can hit a ball off of a tee like no one's business

                                              Swinging with Cousin Kynnedy

                                       Swimming with his cousin

Decided he'd rather wash Mommy's car then swim

                                               Playing ball with G.G

Of course the first thing Keegan noticed at the wedding was the chocolate fountain..and he tried his best to make a chocolate covered pretzel

The last picture has nothing to do with the Fourth of July or a wedding, but Mommy thinks it's pretty stinkin' cute. We decided to try out underwear to spark some interest in the potty. He loved the undies but as soon as he had to poop he asked for a diaper. Sigh.

Hope everyone had a happy and safe Fourth of July!! Also a big shout out to Great Aunt Rita for her birthday today--we won't post her age but it's a special one! Happy Birthday, Rita!

  1. Hope you had an entertaining birthday celebration! Suggested my best friend to book one of the alluring event venues without giving a second thought for her daughter's birthday next week. Also the menu of snacks and cake design was recommended by me. All our ideas therefore will be getting into a real fully fledged pink girls party.
