At 18 months (or 1 1/2 years) Keegan weighs somewhere around 24-25 pounds and is in the 32-33 inch range. These are guesses as he won't go for his doctor's visit for another week or so. He has been a super happy kiddo from day 1..despite some serious woes. If there is a strange illness to get..Keegan finds it. From bad reflux as a baby...to whooping cough....to his most recent staph infection on his..well...man parts...he has been such a trooper. Oh, did we mention the gazillion ear infections?! Mommy has spent the last few days thanking God that Keegan is such a easy going, good natured kid or mommy might be gray..or bald.
Time out from commentary (aka mommy bragging on her child) for a picture...
Keegan & Mommy had a jump on the bed-athon and there was lots of giggling!
Anyway, Keegan is running, jumping, talking, and so much more. He adds words daily and has most recently learned to count to 3. Most of you know this, as mommy is beyond impressed at her baby genius, and has spread the word. He occasionally points out the right color but pretty sure the only one he truly knows is purple. We won't worry about him learning colors as his daddy...and grandpa..and uncles...are color blind. How awful--not being able to see Christmas colors?!
Another picture time out....
Keegan's favorite past times are reading, playing with Kona, dragging his poor nasty blanket around, playing with trains, and building blocks. And of course anything outside. Oh! And Thomas! Thomas is on the TV as long a Keegan is awake. Period.
Keegan drug his chair inside and sprawled across for a bit of Thomas the Train...this led to a Keegan & Mommy dance off...no pictures were taken.
Last weekend, Keegan headed back to Mommy's old stomping grounds for a good old fashion rodeo! He ran (rode in the stroller) in his first 5k race, watched his first parade, played with his cousins, and watched the rodeo! Well, actually he screamed during most of the rodeo..which Mommy attributes to the long sleeves he was forced to wear..can we say sensory issues?!
Grandma & Keegan watching the parade....and enjoying an apple
Playing in the street waiting for the parade...and eating...pumpkin bread this time...the kid has a good metabolism!
Mommy's all time favorite blonde haired blue eyed boy
Searching for rocks with Daddy..way cooler then watching the Rodeo
That's all folks. We will leave you with a few more pictures taken during our bed jumping....
Happy 18 months, Keegan!! We love you sooooo much and can't imagine our lives with out you. We are so excited to see you grow up and use your oh so strong willed personality!
