The Final Week.

And so it is. Mommy returns to work on Monday. The final week has been full of snuggles and fun! Cooper is such a laid back and easy baby and now full of smiles! Not a lot has happened in the past week but Keegan talked Mommy into a trip to the zoo..which she nervously braved alone with 2 kiddos. They did fantastic!

                                First smile caught on camera!

Keegan can make him smile any time!!

Movie and popcorn night with mommy!

He loves his baths...he would lay in there for hours as long as the water stayed warm!

Hahaha you just THINK I'm going to bed!

Sure, I'll pass out on your leg

7 weeks old!

Snuggling with mommy while brother plays at the park

Cooper went to day care 2x this week for 2 hours so he (ok mommy) could practice..Keegan and his buddy Logie looked after him!

Kona FINALLY admits and acknowledges there is a new baby in the house..only too 7 weeks

You might be your Mommy's child if....you lick pumpkin bar batter off the beaters until every last drop is gone!

Such a happy guy

Smiles at Kona all the time..notice Kona is faced away...he may have accepted it but he isn't happy about it!

Mommy braved the zoo with a 3.5 year old and a 7 week old...they did great, the weather was beautiful, and we had a fantastic day!

For some reason some of the zoo pictures won't upload...Mommy has zero patience so rest assured, we had a great time at the zoo! Stay tuned to hear how the first days of work/day care go!

6 Weeks!

Cooper is 6 weeks old today! Time is flying and in 2 short weeks the dreaded day will come when Mommy returns to work..for now we are pretending that day doesn't exist.

Over the weekend Keegan and Cooper and Mommy braved a 5 hour road trip to Iowa to partake in festivities with Mommy's family. It was Rodeo weekend and perfect weather which equaled Keegan's first parade, the apple orchard, pumpkin patch, and grilling/wine drinking at the plantation!

Keegan and Lexa watching the parade...waiting for candy to be thrown!

Creepy clown sneaking up on Hayden (Go Hawkeyes!)

Candy!

Petting zoo with Fabulous Aunt Kay at the Apple Orchard

Listening to the demo on how the pumpkin launcher works

Enjoying the weather while big brother plays at the apple orchard

Snuggled up to Fabulous Aunt Kay, who also happens to be his Godmother!

Fried apple cider donuts...yes please

Hanging with Grandma at the plantation

Mommy couldn't possibly love this little peanut any more!

Cousins

On the bouncing pillows at the pumpkin patch with Lexa and Hayden

Corn pit with Ashlan!

Launching himself off hay bails

Rubber ducky races....no one else seemed to be cheering and hooting and hollering like we were! Keegan and Aunt Debbie must have scored the win!

Enjoying some apples!

Tasty treat that Ashlan thought Keegan needed! :)

And then Mommy's heart exploded with love...

Trying to catch a smile...caught the tail end!

6 weeks have absolutely flown by! Cooper is growing like a weed and becoming smiley and interactive! Keegan continues to be a stellar big brother and makes mommy so proud!

Life With 2...

Life with 2 is definitely a change! Slowly but surely we are getting into somewhat of a routine. And we are using that word verrry loosely! In the last couple weeks a lot has happened--Cooper turned 1 month, Keegan went to his first carnival, and we took our first road trip as a family of 4! (plus Kona of course)

Cooper at about 3 weeks old at Mommy and Me group..he loves it obviously!!

Big crib, little baby....Mommy snatched him right back out after this picture, way too lonely for him in there :)

Sporting his rock star outfit and shoes to go out to dinner!

Big boy outfit!

On a ride at the carnival!

Waiting in line with Ali

This one really freaked Mommy out...it was a little too high and Keegan was firmly instructed to hold on and not lean and hold very still...sending him to Kindergarten may be an issue

Keegan deemed the tilt-a-whirl his favorite! It was going too fast to get a decent picture

Playing duck game with Ali..where everyone is a winner!

And they win "awesome" things like this trumpet here...that still needs to disappear

Story time with both of Mommy's loves

Mommy and Cooper ventured out for a nice run around the lake...they had almost completed the 3 mile loop when they came to this...flooded trail..so they had to turn around....sigh

1 Month Old!

Keegan is very into eating all his dinner because it will make him "big and strong!"

Hanging out at Nana and GG's over Labor Day weekend

Snack time with Kynnedy

First time riding a real bike..he nailed it!

He says he is now asking Santa for "a big green bike!"

Enjoying some cake at a wedding reception

Pinterest project with Nana: Fail! sorry Nana :)

Labor Day weekend ended with a gift of mastitis for Mommy...luckily Cooper was willing to just snuggle on the couch

The baby who won't nap anywhere but in Mommy's arms...napping in the recently discovered miracle Rock and Play...borrowed from a friend but on the list for Target!

Could Mommy & Daddy be any luckier?!

With 2 kiddos comes double the pictures! At one month Cooper has grown a whopping 3 inches and is 22.5 inches long and was just under 10 pounds! He is consistently sleeping 6-7 hours followed by about 3 at night. He loves being snuggled and just recently told Mommy he really doesn't want to start day care....

Tune in next week to see how Mommy's 5 hour road trip alone with both kids went! Yup she might be crazy...
