Lots of Stuff.

Lots of stuff is one of Keegan's new phrases. Like whenever he sees a lot of anything...he says "lots of stuff." Anyway the point of the blog title was actually just that we have a lot of random pictures. But then his phrase popped in my head. Enough babbling.

Keegan got an impromptu visit from Nana and GG! He was thrilled and for several mornings in a row after asked where they were and if they were still sleeping downstairs.

                                                    Loving his new backyard

First fire at the new house! Got to enjoy it with Nana, GG, Aunt Erinn, Uncle Jordon, and Kynnedy...lots of marshmallows were roasted and eaten!

Just watching some cartoons with GG

Keegan also got a visit from Cory (his Godfather), Erin, Emma, and the newest addition, Eva....he convinced Cory to play play-doh for awhile

                                            Just working on his truck

Momma surprised him with some new jammies....Spider-Keegan!

                                     Loves, loves, loves having wings

Busted at the counter eating hershey kisses....and after I hid the rest around on the other side in a drawer I came down to bust him AGAIN in the drawer!

Mommy's boys playing in the backyard

Zoo trip with Mommy....one of the only disastrous ones we've taken....the first hour was great though!

Mommy should have captured what happened shortly after the last picture was taken but she was too busy flying out of the zoo with a kicking and screaming child....who proceeded to throw his shoes at Mommy while driving home from the zoo....ahhhhh the two's!

Being silly with his work goggles

Wrestling with Daddy on the couch...after he told Daddy he had to sit on the floor, only Mommy and Keegan could sit on the couch

Phew. Keegan turned 2.5 last weekend and apparently that begins his "terrible 2" stage. We are hoping it is a short and sweet stage that only rears its ugly head every now and then but lets be honest.....we're in for a long ride! Still love you to the moon and back though, Keegan!

2.5 Years Old?!

Yup, Keegan is 2 1/2 years old this week....it seems impossible! While the big day isn't officially here (for 4 more days) let's be honest--if Mommy has the motivation to put up a blog we better jump on it!  It is crazy to think that it has been that long since we welcomed our 8.4 pound little chubby bundle of joy.

In review....

                                                       Newborn

                                                                6 Months

                                                               1 Year

18 Months

                                                                 2 Years

2.5 Years!

At 2.5, Keegan definitely has his own personality....a loving, strong willed, funny, sweet, awesome personality! Every day he learns new things and amazes us with the things that come out of his mouth. Some highlights currently...

* Growth Spurt! Unsure on size (we go to doctor next week or something) but he recently skipped an entire size in shoes and has caught up and surpassed some kiddos at day care...also has woken up a few times crying with leg pain/growing pains

*Loves Thomas the Train, Curious George, & Winnie the Pooh

*Mostly can speak in sentences with an endless vocabulary

*Counts to 18 (and then goes to 4), knows the ABC's, and can recognize all of his colors

*Loves to sing at night, favorites including ABC's, Silent Night, and Away in a Manger (Christmas outta be fun this year!)

*Goes to day care at Judy's where he has gone since about 6.5 months old...he LOVES it there and frequently says he wants to go show Judy this or that

*Has learned the blame game--anytime he does something (at home or day care) he automatically says "Amor did it"...Amor being a poor 2 year old girl at day care that he blames everything on

*Isn't potty trained but is doing well...Mommy & Daddy are pretty sure they need to buckle down and he could be there

*Wears a size 2T pants, 2T/3T shirts, and size 8 shoe

*Just moved in to his new house and spends his time outside on the slide and trampoline

*Has definitely let the terrible 2s shine through, however 2 has actually been a pretty great age so we are nervous what 3 has to bring!

That is Keegan in a nutshell and we love everything about him! Now enjoy the few pictures we took lately...

This one earned a caption--he loves fruit so much he needed to drink the juice from the can

Thanks for sticking with us--Happy 2 1/2 years, Keegan!! We have been so blessed to be your parents and you bring us so much joy every day!

22 Hours of Driving.

Mommy & Daddy just completed 22 hours of driving over the past 5 days. Puke. First to Iowa to drop Keegan off with Grammy and Gramps, then to Wisconsin Dells for a wedding, then back to Iowa to pick up Keegan and have some family time, and finally back home. The whole weekend would have been worth all the miles, however Mommy got sick as soon as they got to Wisconsin. And then got stung by a bee. Regardless, the wedding was great, the water park we got to go to for a few hours fun, and Keegan had a blast with Grandma, Grandpa, Jace, Lexa, and Aunt Cari while we were gone.

Helping Grandma make peanut butter rice krispie treats...we are unsure if the failure was due to the lack of measuring by Keegan or just a crappy recipe....

Time out for a cheesy photo op!

The river was flooded on the 4th of July, so the fireworks got delayed until Labor Day--ready for the show!

And what would a weekend in Iowa be without a family gathering at the Plantation? This time complete with a bounce house!

And of course, with the plantation party comes food..and homemade ice cream!

Headed home...can you spot Keegan underneath his pile of loot that goes to bed with him every night?!

Keegan informed Mommy when we got home that he "didn't want to go to the new house, he wanted to go to Grandma's house". Sounds like a successful weekend! Well minus the whole Mommy getting sick, going to the ER, and getting stung by a bee! Aunt Cari has more pictures of all the festivities while Mommy was away, so check her blog for more fun!
