Spring is in the Air!

Spring is in the air which is probably the reason for the lack of blogs...that or pure procastination. Either way. Here is a new blog of Keegan's last few weeks.

Keegan got to hang out with his old pals, Faith and Charity. We love getting together with them as Keegan never misses a beat and it's like they never moved!

Keegan wastes no time in getting outside when he sees even the slightest sign of sun...currently playing soccer and "catch" with his new ball and glove are favorites

We went out to dinner with some friends a few weekends ago and they gave kids "kid friendly chopsticks" with their meals...Keegan ate an entire plate of lo mein with them!

"What do you want to do today?" "Go to the park!" is always the first answer

We even splurged for a picnic!

Keegan had to be a brave boy for some blood work at the doctor so Mommy surprised him with a new Spiderman hat--he was SO excited!

And thus concludes the fascinating life of Keegan. The start of age 3 was proving to be a whole different ball game then age 2 (which mommy continuously raved about how great age 2 was). While we are sure 3 will continue to be challenging, it has "tamed down" a bit in the tantrum category (which we are thankful for). Birthdays and more

Well mommy's phone refuses to upload pictures onto the computer...sooo an attempt at blogging from the phone! 

Keegan recently had his 3rd birthday party which he combined with Lexas 4th birthday...needless to say it was a flop as the poor guy came down with the tummy bug the day of his party.  He did manage to blow out candles and open presents but otherwise the poor kid was in bed. Please note the several pictures of our sick boy sleeping..the kid hasn't just fallen asleep on the couch since he was probably 4 months old!

On his actual birthday weekend he went to his first fish fry! Turns out Keegan LOVES fried fish. He did NOT want pizza,  Mac n cheese,  or tater TOTS--JUST FISH AND CORN!  The guys serving got a chuckle. The next day he got to spend the whole day at the zoo with his twin girlfriends Harley and Lainey. We were all grateful for sunshine and nice weather!

Other then that Keegan has just been up to his usual sassy life and running the show. Enjoy pics! (With no captions because Lord knows just getting pics on is a win in mommy's book!)

Happy Birthday, Keegan!!

Mommy cannot believe our Keegan is 3 years old today! Oh how time flies...

Keegan-- some fun facts about you at age 3:

-you weigh 29 lbs and are 35 inches tall...putting you at a whopping 20% and 5% respectively...Daddy actually asked the pediatrician if we could give you growth hormone ..

-You wear a size 3T top, 2T/3T pants, and size 8 shoe

-You love life and are full of energy! You love playing outside, especially on swing, slides, and trampoline, kicking your soccer ball, going shopping with mommy, and playing with your kindle

-You are a great eater (despite your size) and favorites include fish, grilled cheese, fruit, egg salad sandwiches, and chips and guacamole. Things you dislike include potatoes and shredded meat

-You go to day care at Judy's and love it. You always say you play with Mary and Isabelle. You recently started doing preschool and are doing great! Currently working on learning to write your letters

-You know the ABCs as well as many other songs, can count to 20, can recognize and point out all your colors, letters, and numbers

-You are totally potty trained! You have been since November but we bad a minor poop regression. All is good now and you don't even have accidents at night!

-You recently started swimming lessons. Week 1 was good and you loved it, week 2 you loved until you puked in the pool (start of flu bug) and week 3 you weren't overly thrilled. We see potential though! We will see how the next 5 weeks go.

-You are going to be a BIG BROTHER!! You will be getting baby brother Cooper at the beginning of August and seem to be excited. Twice now while shopping you have picked out clothes and asked to get it for your  brother!

Mommy could go on and on about how great our Keegan is.  Life would be strange, incomplete, and boring without Keegan in it! It is so true you don't know how much you can love someone until you have a child --every day mommy is amazed at the love she feels for someone so small!!

We have lots of pictures from his party,  birthday,  and recent weeks but those will have to wait until next time! Happy Birthday sweet Keegan, we love you to the moon and back home!

Keegan and Nugget Lately.

Mommy figures she better quit leaving little nugget out of the blog. He/she hasn't been up to a whole lot lately. Doing a few fluttery kicks here and there and is apparently quite the eater. According to an app on Mommy's phone, Nugget will double his/her size between now (16 weeks) and 20 weeks. Oh goody!

Keegan has been a little bit busier. He had a visit from Nana and GG over the weekend, had a Valentine's Day party at day care (subsequently has been eating too much candy), and has been super busy playing.

Valentine's Day box from day care....he was so excited when he got home he tore off the foil (that was on the box so he could decorate it) like it was a present and kept saying "this is so special look what I got!!"

                                        Nugget at 16 weeks!

Mommy and Keegan went and got donuts on Sunday morning while Daddy slept in....and he got a card in the mail from Great Aunt Rita!

And on to play-doh--he wanted to make an egg like the picture on the box--pretty good job!

 Sunday we went shopping and Mommy promised Keegan he could pick out some new jammies--he picked these and is IN LOVE with them!

 Grandma and Grandpa sent him some Valentine's money to go pick out a new toy...after wondering toy aisle at Target he found....Thomas Legos!!!

And that wraps up another week in Keegan (and nugget's) world. Not a whole lot exciting is planned in the next week but we are sure we will find something to take a picture of and post!

Cold.

Keegan hasn't done a lot as of late. It has been cold, cold, snowy, and cold. A nice day thrown in here and there (which we took full advantage of!) and then more cold. Enjoy the many inside pics!
